1. Purpose

LeaderShift provides AI-powered peer support and professional development for senior public safety professionals. These Terms govern how you may use the app and the expectations we have for you as a user.

2. Not Medical or Mental Health Advice

• LeaderShift is not therapy, counseling, medical treatment, or crisis intervention.
• LeaderShift offers peer support and professional development guidance only.
• If you need emergency help, call 911 or text 988.

3. Eligibility & Responsible Use

• You must be legally permitted to receive SMS-based authentication and to use AI tools in your jurisdiction.
• Do not share prompts or responses that violate law, policy, or confidentiality obligations.
• You are responsible for any data you enter; avoid personally identifiable details when possible.

4. Confidentiality & Data Practices

• Conversations are encrypted and stored on your device.
• Prompts and responses pass through our Cloudflare Worker and Anthropic Claude API to generate professional development guidance.
• We do not sell your data. Review the Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect and how it is handled.

5. Safety & Escalation

• The app may highlight crisis resources if language suggests harm or danger.
• We may suspend or terminate access if usage indicates risk, abuse, or policy violations.

6. Feedback & Improvements

• You may share product feedback; by doing so you grant us permission to use it to improve LeaderShift.
• We may update the app or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via email if available.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• LeaderShift is provided "as is" without warranties of performance, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid (if any) in the 12 months prior to the claim.

8. Governing Law & Disputes

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
• Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
